Where are we?

Camagna Monferrato is a village of medieval origin, dating back to the Lombard period. It spreads over a hill between two streams and Grana Rotaldo.

The panorama that is admired by Camagna is gorgeous: from the south side is up to the countries of Conzano, Cuccaro, Lu and Vignale, on the opposite side you can see Olivola, Frassinello, Rosignano, Cellamonte and Terrugia. All this is framed by the majestic Alps and Ligurian Apennines - an unforgettable sight.

The village of Camagna develops around the Church and the ancient castle, which in recent times has been transformed into a large building. Narrow streets concentrically wind through the village, overlooked by typical houses in tuff and brick.

The church - by Castelli, a student of Antonelli - dominates the country in height and majesty.

A special feature: in each house is the so-called infernot, a cavity suitable for storing wine. The infernot were dug by farmers themselves, with picks and shovels, many years ago.

They are heritage site and some can still be visited.
